Kristy Siple Arrested for Selling Daughter to Jeremy Williams

Kamarie Holland, 5, was brutally raped and murdered on December 13, 2021, in Phenix City, Alabama.


Investigators have arrested Jeremy Tremain Williams, 37, for her murder and Kamarie’s mother, Kristy Siple (a.k.a Kristy Hoskins), 35, for selling her daughter to Williams. This case is presently an open investigation. The court has placed a gag order on this case.

Kamarie Holland, 5, was a sweet and spirited preschooler. She was the daughter of Corey Holland and Kristy Siple, who were no longer in a relationship. Corey Holland was awarded custody of Kamarie; Kristy had visitation rights. According to Kamarie’s obituary, she wanted to be a princess when she grew up.

The Crime

The Alabama/Georgia state line dissects the city of Columbus. The heart of Columbus lies to the east in Georgia while a greater suburb, Phenix City, AL lies to the west of the state line.

According to an interview given by Kristy Siple to the media, Siple stated that during a visitation, she woke up in the early morning hours of December 13, 2021, to find her daughter, Kamarie, missing. She stated that the front door of her Columbus, GA, home was wide open. Siple dialed 9-1-1 and investigators immediately launched an aggressive search to find the missing five-year-old. According to news sources, Siple stated, “I’m a mommy, and I did not have nothing to do with this. She was my life, and I lived for her daily. She was my only daughter.”

Investigators began looking at known acquaintances of Siple, searching for any potential leads. Columbus GA authorities quickly identified one man, Jeremy Williams, a Phenix City, Alabama resident, as a potential suspect. They reached out to authorities in neighboring Russell County. The Russell County Alabama Sheriff’s Department located Williams and a relative at the Bamboo Motel in Phenix City. Alabama detectives searched a previously abandoned residence of William’s and located the body of Kamarie. She had been sexually assaulted. The cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation by ligature.

The Investigation

Jeremy Williams was immediately arrested for the kidnapping, sexual assault, and death of Kamaire Holland. In a shocking development two weeks following his arrest, detectives announced the arrest of Kristy Siple, Kamarie’s mother.

According to news sources, Siple’s warrant for arrest is a human trafficking warrant. It states: “She did agree with another person to pay her for having sexual intercourse and sodomy with her minor daughter.”

The Current Formal Charges

The current formal charges for Jeremy Williams are capital murder of a person under the age of 14, capital murder during a kidnapping, capital murder during a rape, capital murder during sodomy, corpse abuse, and the production of child pornography.

The current formal charges for Kristy Siple are murder during a kidnapping, murder during a rape, murder during sodomy, and human trafficking.

According to investigators, the criminal record of Jeremy Williams contains several previous separate charges of crimes against children. Williams was a suspect in the death of a 1-year-old in Alaska but was not formally charged due to lack of evidence. A later case charged him with child abuse in 2009 in Phenix City, AL. A jury acquitted him in 2012. In yet another separate case in Columbus, GA, Williams was charged with the abuse of a child yet investigators did not elaborate on the outcome of that previous case.

Kristy Siple has two spending child abuse cases, according to news outlets. In 2018, she was accused of smoking marijuana while pregnant with a different child. In 2019, she was arrested for Chemical Endangerment to a Minor, after she had “exposed” one of her children to drugs.

The Aftermath

In a news conference, Russell County Chief Deputy District Attorney Rick Chancey stated, “To go to that funeral the other day, it just breaks your heart to know that Kamarie is no longer with us.” He stated “Please parents, take care of your kids, watch your kids. Be careful who your kids are around. I shouldn’t have to state that. This is a bad world and let’s take care of our kids.”

According to news sources, Corey Holland, Kamarie’s father, released a public statement. He stated in part, “The amount of pain Kristy has caused by ripping Kamarie out of our lives will never cease. We are glad to see that she has been arrested. We are one step closer to justice for Kamarie. It’s our hope that justice is served. Kristy should receive whatever the maximum penalty she can get.”
