Missing: Abby Lynn Patterson

Abby Lynn Patterson went missing on September 5, 2017, from Lumberton, North Carolina. She has not been seen since and the circumstances of her disappearance are unknown.
Missing
On September 5, 2017, Abby Lynn Patterson left her home on East 9th Street in Lumberton, North Carolina, around 11:30 a.m. Abby had been visiting her mother after graduating from a drug rehab program. She texted her mother, telling her she would be back in an hour. According to News 13, neighbors saw her getting into a brown Buick on Park Avenue.
According to the Find Abby Facebook Page, Abby told her mother that she was going to hang out with friends from high school, that she would be back in an hour. When she did not come back after an hour, her family tried to call her, but their calls went straight to voicemail. In the evening, around 6:00 p.m. her mother called the police to report her missing.
Abby is described to be 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of 3 black birds on her back, right shoulder. She was last seen wearing a white blouse with brown shorts.

Investigation
Investigators located the brown Buick and driver, who told police they were with Abby. Police would not say where Abby was dropped off, only that the driver did not generate any leads on Abby’s whereabouts. The identity of the driver was not released to the public.
According to ABC News, her mother released
“Abby’s smile lit up every room, but the room went dark for our family on September the 5th, 2017. Every day our mind and hearts question where and why this has happened to our sweet Abby. I can only pray that our grief, desperation, prayers and hope to find Abby will outweigh the evil that has left us with the unknown for 4 horrific years. Abby is loved by so many, some that don’t even know her. God will prevail and give us the answers we need to bring her back home to us. I am her voice, and I will keep screaming her name. Aftermath
There have been tips over the years, but none that have generated any substantial leads.
Friends and family are still actively looking for Abby. The FBI and police are also actively investigating her disappearance. currently has Abby listed on the FBI’s missing and kidnapped person’s page.
