The Disappearance of David Cunillera

On April 28, 1999, David Cunillera, 22, went missing from the northeast region of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania State Police are asking the public for any information that may help them locate David. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to David’s discovery.

David is described as a 22-year-old Hispanic/Caucasian male, 5’5″ to 5’6″ tall, weighing 145-150 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. Additional distinctive features are described as a scar on his forehead and a tattoo across his chest that says “Thug World” which features a gun graphic at the beginning and end of the phrase.

The Day That David Cunillera Went Missing

David Cunillera had been at a friend’s home in Lake Winola, Wyoming County, PA. Lake Winola is located approximately 16 miles northwest of Scranton, PA, or a 30-minute drive.

Cunillera and his mother spoke on the telephone that day. He told her that he was returning to New York City, which is where he lived. It was reported that he took a taxi from Lake Winola to Scranton. He planned to take a bus from Scranton to New York City, which was a 2 hour 45-minute ride. David didn’t arrive on the bus. None of his family or friends have heard from him since that day.
